Dear supporter,

No updates on Barnsbury & Laycock yet, but proposals have been announced for a new Islington Liveable Neighbourhood scheme.

Public engagement has begun on ideas for the Annette Road Liveable Neighbourhood between Seven Sisters Road, Hornsey Road, and Holloway Road. This doesn’t directly impact our neighbourhood, but as schemes roll out across the borough, all of Islington should see the cumulative benefits of creating safer, greener streets, reducing through traffic, supporting local businesses, and improving air quality.

You can find the proposals for the Annette Road area on the Council’s website. They have an online survey and an interactive map where you can leave comments. The consultation closes on Sunday, 18 August.

The Annette Road proposals form part of an overall plan to make Islington’s streets safer, healthier, greener, and fairer. Please take a look and respond positively via the survey and map. This will help to show the Council that there is public support for measures to improve our streets. And it may spur them on to make more progress with the scheme in Barnsbury & Laycock!

Enjoy your summer,
